Želmanovce manor house

The classicist manor house was built around 1820. It is a ground-floor block building with an imagined columned portico on the main façade. The portico is formed by a quatrefoil of Doric channeled columns and is topped by a triangular tympanum with a stylized dentil and a stone relief of the family coat of arms.
The facades are divided by a continuous horizontal cornice at the height of the window lintel. Above the windows are semicircular recessed areas framed by semicircular pediments. On the roof, the original plumbing elements have been preserved - a ventilating dormer made of sheet metal and a turret at the end of the ridge. The rooms are flat-roofed, covered in the northern part by moulded vaults with lunette projections. To the east of the manor house is a two-storey granary.
Part of the manor house is a historical park, from which part of the lime avenue and several original trees have been preserved. A unique part of the park is the compact stand of trees (woodland) in the peripheral part, which formed a smooth transition between the landscaped and naturally growing greenery. This park was the site of the now defunct stables building.
Opposite the entrance to the manor is the house of the estate manager and the economic background of the manor behind the road. This building fulfilled both an economic and a residential function. The house has three living rooms and a kitchen. One of the rooms was used to accommodate seasonal workers. All the rooms have beamed ceilings and tiled stoves. The economic part of the house consisted of stables and a space for carriages. Today it houses the Municipal Office.
