Brezovica Manor House

Brezovica lies in the valley of Torysa under the eastern outcrops of the Levoča Hills. The village developed on the old road leading from Šariš to Spiš, which is referred to in the source materials as "Via magna" (the Great Road). The village was first mentioned in writing in 1317. Berzeviczi. The castle was built by Michal Berzeviczi and became the family seat for more than two centuries. The ancestors of this family came from Tyrol and adopted the surname after the semi-decimal name of the village Berzeviczi.

The Baroque manor house in Brezovice dates back to the 17th century, when the members of the Berzeviczi family left their castle and moved to the village, where they built seven manor houses and one manor house. The manor house was built as a block building with two tracts with a bay on the northeast side with an open spacious staircase. The facade retains Renaissance windows, Renaissance illusionary two-coloured sgraffito bosses with diamond-cut tracery. Above the entrance there is a stone slab with a relief of family coats of arms.
