Archaeopark of Living Architecture - Hanušovce nad Topľou

The unique site presents five dwellings from five periods of prehistoric and early medieval times, and is an original museum experience. It takes the visitor back in time over 30 millennia. For the five buildings, interior furnishings and costumes for the mannequins and visitors were provided through the project. Each object is furnished with simple functional furniture and everyday objects that are replicas of original finds. The visitor can manipulate everything, use everything. For example, in the Paleolithic object these are replicas of chipped industry, in the Neolithic hut ceramics, in the object from the Younger Bronze Age bronze objects, in the Latin and Slavic huts iron artifacts. In all objects there are also wooden, wicker or leather objects, and even simple musical instruments. In each of the huts the visitor will find its permanent „inhabitants" - mannequins dressed in replicas of period clothing. Simpler versions of period costumes can be rented through the museum so that visitors can more fully immerse themselves in the realities of prehistoric times. The archaeopark is set in a historic nature and landscape park with suitable tree cover. The archaeopark is surrounded by a palisade, which is not in itself a reconstruction of any particular fortification, it merely encloses the area and separates it from the outside world.
