The first edition of the ‘Discover Šariš’ event takes place from 24 to 26 July!
Over the course of a single weekend, you’ll have the chance to explore a region steeped in history, beautiful towns and fascinating stories, in the company of locals you’ll never forget. It’ll be a brilliant weekend full of experiences, discoveries and that summer atmosphere!
How are we different from a typical festival?
The ‘Discover Šariš’ event is an experiential weekend festival with a highly unconventional concept. The experiences are organised by local people, who invite you into their homes.
The festival does not have a single festival ticket; instead, you can purchase each experience separately on the website or on the day in Veľký Šariš.

What sort of experiences and activities does it offer?
Truly varied and suitable for all ages. Whether you’re a history buff, a fan of local cuisine or enjoy trying your hand at traditional crafts, you’re sure to find something to suit you.
We try to put together a programme that children, mums and grandmums will all enjoy.
Where will the activities and programme take place?
Our adventure seekers organise their activities all over the place – at the castle, in the countryside and even in their own homes. You’ll find some of them right at the heart of the action in Veľký Šariš.
Please note! The festival also offers a free supporting programme in Veľký Šariš, where you’ll find a relaxation and food area, as well as all the information you need.
You can soak up the festival atmosphere whilst enjoying good food, live music or a nice cup of coffee.
