This August’s ‘Discover Prešov’ event will be dedicated to exploring a gem of Renaissance architecture – the manor house in Fričovce. Together, we’ll explore its history, its owners, its hidden corners, its rooms featuring period details, as well as its impressive exterior with its unique sgraffito decoration depicting almost 150 historical and mythological figures, We won’t miss out on the park either, with its native and exotic trees, many of which are over a hundred years old.
During our visit to Fričovce, we will also pay tribute to František Andraščík, a native of the village and a prominent Slovak poet.
We'll meet on Sunday 9 August 2026 o 15:00* in front of the Fričovce Town Hall. The tour of the manor house will be led by the owner, Mr František TOMKO.
The SAD bus to Spišské Podhradie departs from Prešov 14:10 and arrival at the Fričovce, Centre stop at 14:40.
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance at the Tourist Information Centre, Hlavná 67, Prešov, during opening hours (Monday–Friday 9.00–17.00, Saturday 9.00 – 14.00) or online:
On the day of the event, tickets will go on sale from 14:40 in front of the Fričovce Town Hall. *Please note, however, that the number of tickets is limited and tickets may no longer be available at the venue.

Students, pensioners and people with disabilities are entitled to a €1 discount on the ticket price.
Curious children under 12 go free.
