We invite the general public to the event Podhradík Village Day, which will take place to mark the 625th anniversary of the first written record of the village.
When? 12 September 2026 (Saturday) at 2.00 pm
Where? The village of Podhradík
The official opening and the main cultural programme will begin at 2.00 pm in front of the Podhradík Town Hall. The performers will include children from the Podhradík nursery school, the Ľešnikovo girls, Senioranka, the Šebeš men, the Raslavice men and the Raslavice Musicians.
There’ll be plenty for children to enjoy too. Maroš Kamoš will be performing at 3.00 pm at the Podhradík nursery school grounds. There’ll be bouncy castles, foam building blocks, toffee floss and sweet popcorn.
The cooking competition will start at 10.00 Podhradí Open Pot Festival. Tasting of the competition entries will begin at 2.00 pm and the results will be announced at 4.00 pm. Light refreshments will also be available throughout the event.
The programme will include a display of fire-fighting and military equipment, an exhibition of photographs and photographic equipment by Richard Varga, an exhibition of aerial photographs of the village of Podhradík, and a virtual presentation of monarchs and presidents throughout the history of Slovakia.
