{"id":385,"date":"2020-11-03T09:51:44","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T09:51:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sarisskahradnacesta.sk\/pamiatka\/kastiel-petrovany\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T09:41:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T09:41:06","slug":"kastiel-petrovany","status":"publish","type":"pamiatka","link":"https:\/\/www.sarisskahradnacesta.sk\/en\/pamiatka\/kastiel-petrovany\/","title":{"rendered":"Manor house Petrovany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Baroque-Classical manor house with a park is situated on a gentle slope of the western exposure in the central position of the village of Petrovany.<br>Descendants <strong>of the nobleman Sinka<\/strong>, who in the 15th century adopted the surname \"<strong>Szentp\u00e9tery\"<\/strong>, had their curial place in Petrovany with <strong>two<\/strong> Courts - <strong>lower<\/strong> at the church and <strong>from<\/strong> by the road towards Pre\u0161ov, where there was also a mill. In 1756 Maria Theresa granted the Klobu\u0161ick family the title of count. In the same year, \u017digmund, the grandson of Franti\u0161ek Klobu\u0161ick\u00fd, had a new Baroque manor house built on the site of the Szentp\u00e9tery Renaissance manor house. The manor served as a hunting lodge for the count families.<br>The mansion area consists of an economic area, an entrance area (courtyard) and a natural-landscape layout. The entrance part (courtyard) is designed with an oval green area with a traffic circle. The oval grassy area with symmetrically planted coniferous trees has a transverse compositional axis oriented towards the main entrance to the mansion. To the north-west of the main building of the manor house is the ice-house building with its legible Baroque morphology. In the north-western part of the park, a new building of the Convent of the Dominican Sisters with an orchard exterior is realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Natural-landscape park<\/strong> was built next to the Baroque-Classical manor house from 1756 on the area of an older country garden at the end of the 19th century. At the time of its creation, it was a larger layout, which was reduced by the change in the functional use of the buildings, when the area was closed off and the peripheral parts were subdivided. Originally, the old building was enclosed by a protective rampart - a moat, which Count Klobu\u0161ick\u00fd had filled in, leaving only a small pond. Other farm and service buildings and a gatehouse were added.
