Tea at five at Rakoci's

The Regional Museum in Prešov and the Prešov Self-Governing Region invite you to the next Tea at five at Rakoci's.

„FROM WEST TO EAST. THE OLDEST GEOGRAPHY OF THE WORLD WRITTEN IN SLOVAK FROM 1759.“

When? 28.4.2026 o 17:00

Where? Hlavná 139, Prešov

After the last meeting devoted to the plant world, we are back to history again. This time we will take a journey together across the world of the 18th century.

We invite you to a lecture on a unique manuscript from 1759, which is one of the oldest geographical works written in the Slovak language.

Mgr. Radka Kacvinská, PhD. will show how its author perceived distant lands, nations and the world of his time.

We take a peek into a text that was once meant to be a „brave man's entertainment“, but is now a valuable testament to the world knowledge and cultural history of the 18th century.

So come and don't miss out already 78. Tea at five at Rakoci's!
